🎉📣 IT’S HERE!!! NCPR YOUTH CHEER SQUAD REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 📣🎉 SHARE!!! SHARE!!!! SHARE!!

Northampton County Parks & Recreation is excited to announce our NEW 2026 NCPR Cheer Squad! 💜🩷🤍

Is your child ready to CHEER, LEARN, GROW & SHINE? ✨ This program is designed for youth ages 4–12 and will focus on building cheer skills, teamwork, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship while having FUN!

📣 3 AGE GROUPS:
⭐ Ages 4–6
⭐ Ages 7–9
⭐ Ages 10–12

🏀 Each squad will cheer during the NCPR Youth Basketball Season on Saturdays and participate in local special events throughout the season!

💰 Registration Fee: $50 per participant
📅 Registration Opens: TODAY — August 31, 2026!
⏰ Registration Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM NOON!

Northampton County administrative offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. The Waste Collection Centers and Landfill will be open for normal operating hours.

Did you know Northampton County tax exemptions for rehabilitated structures? Northampton County offers a Partial Tax Exemption for Rehabilitated Structures to promote the renovation of existing structures by giving the owners tax relief on their investment.
An overview of the process:

* Owner makes application and pays the fee;
* The Commissioner makes an on-site inspection, photographs
and assesses the property;
* The owner is notified of the "beginning" assessment;
* Construction begins (2 years to complete the program);
* Owner notifies Commissioner the work is completed;
* Commissioner re-visits, photographs and assess the completed property;
* Owner is notified of the "ending" assessment.

The tax on the difference between the "beginning" and the "ending" value is the amount of tax that is forgiven for the ten years following approval of the application.
