Reaching Higher afterschool is now accepting registrations!
We are a no-cost, after-school program available to GIS students.
Our hours of operation are from 3:45 to 6:15 PM, Monday through Thursday. Families can choose their weekly schedule.

Students will receive structured, fun, hand-on academic time with our certified teachers to help them stay on-task for the ‘26/’27 school year. In addition, our highly trained staff will lead the kids in group games, hobby exploration, sports, and other fun activities! (We also offer field trips throughout the year). A meal and snack will be served—We are an equal opportunity provider.

Busing home is available.

🌟 Eaton RESA Exceptional Educators 🌟

Eaton Rapids Public Schools is recognizing Kim Estes, Technology Director, for her exceptional leadership and dedicated service. Kim’s multifaceted role is critical to the district’s operations, from overseeing technology infrastructure and pupil accounting to supporting Bond and Safety initiatives. Her attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and forward-thinking approach help keep the district running efficiently.

This summer, Kim led the successful launch of the district’s new website, coordinating the migration of information, updating landing pages and working with staff to gather high-quality photography of district facilities. She maintained a clear vision throughout the process and continues to be highly responsive to updates that keep the website current and user-friendly.

Thank you, Kim, for your dedication and the many ways you support Eaton Rapids Public Schools!

The Eaton Rapids National Honors Society is cooperating with the Red Cross to host a blood drive this coming Tuesday, September 29! Appointments can be made from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be located in the Old Gym at the high school.
Please enter through the old gym doors to check-in with our NHS members.
Please stop in and donate!

Tuesday 9/22/26 2:00pm: Please be advised that the intersection at Canal St. and Main St is currently closed due to a traffic accident. Local authorities are on site but traffic in the immediate area is moving significantly slower than normal.
As a result, please anticipate potential delays during afternoon dismissal for secondary students, including student pick-up lines and bus drop-off times.

🌧️ A Difficult Weather Update 🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has won this round. We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Welcome Back Block Party scheduled for Sunday, September 20th.

We have been watching the forecast closely, and rain is expected throughout the day Sunday, with Saturday also showing rain all day. With the amount of rain and wind expected, the event area would become wet and hazardous, creating safety concerns with the inflatables, electrical equipment, tents, and other event setups.

We know this is incredibly disappointing, especially after already having to reschedule once. We were really hoping this weekend would finally bring us the sunshine and warm weather we needed! ☀️

Thank you to everyone who planned to attend and support the event. We are so grateful for our community and your continued support of the Eaton Rapids Education Foundation and ERPS students and staff. ❤️🩶

We are already looking forward to next year and hoping for sunshine, warm weather, and NO rain!☀️🎉
