Additionally last night we welcomed 2 new reserve officers as well. Welcome Officer Waters and Officer Reger to the Eaton Police Department. These 2 new officers will immediately begin our thorough FTO process to prepare them to serve the town of Eaton and its citizens.

At last nights town board meeting Officer Brooks was sworn in as Eaton's newest full time Deputy Marshal. Deputy Marshal Brooks brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the town. Not only has he been a reserve with us for close to 12 years, he is an ILEA general instructor, ILEA Fi****ms instructor, FLETC Instructor, ICAT instructor, K9 Handler among many other areas of expertise. He also is already ILEA certified. All these things are a tremendous asset to our Town and department. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Marshal Brooks on his promotion. If you see Deputy Marshal Brooks and his fluffy partner Lyken out be sure to say hi.

Town of Eaton: The Town of Eaton will be flushing hydrants around the Town on Wednesday July 1st and Thursday July 2nd. Please be advised that flushing can sometimes cause discoloration due to the changing water pressure breaking up particles in the lines.

Duty doesn't end when the shift does.

While traveling to Myrtle Beach for vacation, Officer Vest came upon a serious crash involving a FedEx truck that had caught fire. Without hesitation, he stopped, helped remove the driver from the burning vehicle, and immediately began rendering medical aid until additional emergency responders arrived.
Officer Vest's actions reflect not only his commitment as a law enforcement officer, but also the training and dedication he brings as a U.S. Army Combat Medic. His quick thinking and willingness to act in a dangerous situation exemplify the courage and selflessness of those who wear the badge and serve our country.
We are incredibly proud to call him one of our own and thank him for representing our department with honor, professionalism, and compassion—even while off duty.

What an awesome addition to our town! Thank you!

This evening, Prevent Child Abuse of Delaware County President Kris Swanson and Vice President Ashley Snider presented a proposal to the Town of Eaton Council to install a Safe Haven Baby Box in the community and we are excited to announce that the proposal was unanimously approved!

This will become the third Safe Haven Baby Box in Delaware County, marking another important step toward protecting our community’s most vulnerable members and providing hope to parents facing a crisis.

Prevent Child Abuse of Delaware County is committed to expanding access to Safe Haven Baby Boxes throughout the county, with the goal of having one available in every city. These boxes provide a safe, secure, and anonymous option for parents while ensuring infants receive immediate care and protection.

We would like to thank the Eaton Town Council for their support and commitment to child safety. Together, we are helping save lives and creating a stronger, more compassionate community.

The Eaton Police Department would like to congratulate Deputy Marshal Kirby on successfully completing and obtaining his certification in ARIDE (Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement).

ARIDE training provides officers with advanced knowledge and skills to help detect and identify impaired drivers who may be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination of substances. This specialized training helps bridge the gap between standard field sobriety testing and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) training.

By continuing to invest in advanced training opportunities, our department remains committed to improving roadway safety, protecting our community, and ensuring our officers are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to serve the citizens of Eaton professionally and effectively.
