Our crews worked to assist Station 60 with shuttling roughly 30,000 gallons of water from 12pm until well after midnight. Asst Chief Taylor assisted on the fire ground for more than 14 hours. A long day for all those involved but as always we were happy to assist!

🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT: DONATION DRIVE FOR WAYNE COUNTY FLOOD VICTIMS 🚨
​Gasper Township Fire & EMS is currently collecting donations to support our neighbors in Western Wayne County, Indiana, who have been severely impacted by the recent flooding.
​🗓️ WHEN: We are accepting donations from now until Monday at 11:00 AM.
📍 WHERE: Please leave your donated items under the shelter at the front of the firehouse located at 4195 Paint Creek Road, Eaton, OH 45320.
​📦 WHAT TO DONATE:
To ensure we are providing the most effective relief, we are specifically looking for the following items (please note that used clothing is not needed at this time). Please consider donating:

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Station 17! 🇺🇸
​Thank you to everyone who came out for the fireworks last night, and an extra special THANK YOU to everyone who dropped a donation into our boot drive. We are always appreciative of our community's generosity!

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that Gasper Township Fire & EMS announces the passing of Firefighter Mike Roberts Jr.
​Mike dedicated over 35 years of his life to the fire service, building a legacy of unwavering commitment and sacrifice. Whenever the tones dropped, Mike was simply the guy who always showed up. His relentless dedication earned him our Firefighter of the Year award in 2025, and true to his character, he was currently our #1 responder in taking calls for the department, a distinction he proudly held the year prior as well.
​His vast experience and steady demeanor on the fireground made him an invaluable asset to me as Chief, and a cornerstone of our entire department. We leaned heavily on his wisdom and leadership, and his absence will be deeply felt by every single member of this organization.
​Mike was so much more than just an outstanding firefighter. He was a deeply dedicated servant to this community, and he was my friend.
​On behalf of Gasper Township Fire & EMS, I want to extend our most sincere condolences to the entire Roberts family during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and respect their privacy as they navigate this profound loss.

Today, Gasper Township Fire & EMS solemnly remembers the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
From all of us at Station 17, we wish our community a safe and reflective Memorial Day as we pause to remember those who gave everything.

Just attended the Solar Project safety meeting tonight with the Gasper TWP Fire Department. Below is a picture of the final plans for solar panels. The planning and approval of this project started long before any current Gasper Township Trustees held office and after years of litigation, Tomorrow 5/20/26 is the ground breaking for this project. There will be increased traffic on Gasper Township roads during this project so please drive carefully. Construction is set to last until fall of 2027.
