Just attended the Solar Project safety meeting tonight with the Gasper TWP Fire Department. Below is a picture of the final plans for solar panels. The planning and approval of this project started long before any current Gasper Township Trustees held office and after years of litigation, Tomorrow 5/20/26 is the ground breaking for this project. There will be increased traffic on Gasper Township roads during this project so please drive carefully. Construction is set to last until fall of 2027. Today, we celebrate and honor all of the amazing moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, and mother figures who dedicate so much of themselves to their families and communities every single day. Your strength, love, sacrifice, and support is appreciated and we love you all!

A huge shout-out to Reily Firefighters Association for the assistance on our horse rescue earlier today. This department has the specialized equipment and the skill set to make quick work to assist large animals when they get themselves in a situation. Proud of the good relationship we are able to maintain with a great group of folks. Appreciate the help!

This afternoon our units responded mutual aid to Preble County in response to a horse that was in a sink hole and unable to get herself out. With teamwork between us, Gasper Township Fire & EMS, the veterinarian, and the horse owner she was freed then walking and eating on her own! Thankful for all that helped and that we’re able to provide this response when needed!

Today, we recognize firefighters everywhere for their dedication and service to their communities. At Gasper Township Fire & EMS, we are honored to serve and protect our residents each and every day.
We sincerely thank our community for the trust you place in us. Your support allows us to continue training, responding, and serving with professionalism and pride.
We also take a moment to honor the sacrifices made by firefighters across the world, especially those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Today our department alongside members from the City of Eaton Fire & EMS-Ohio and Northwest Fire and Ambulance District participated in a comprehensive training focused on respiratory and airway management.
Training topics included anatomy & physiology (A&P), advanced airway techniques, ETCO₂ monitoring, and managing difficult airways in difficult situations. These are critical skills that help ensure we continue providing the highest level of care to our community.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Rick Vent from MedFlight 8 - Preble, OH for his outstanding instruction and expertise throughout the training.
Opportunities like this highlight the importance of working and training together—not just as individual departments, but as one unified county.
