Greenbriar Care Community was proud to join our fellow Lionstone Healthcare communities in supporting continuing education for case managers and social workers at The Ohio State University, in partnership with Ohio’s Hospice!

We are grateful for the opportunity to support educational experiences that strengthen healthcare professionals, encourage collaboration, and ultimately make a difference in the lives of the patients and families they serve.

This week we celebrated our case managers at our hospitals. Thank you to our amazing hospital case managers for all you do! Your compassion, dedication, and hard work make such a difference in the lives of patients and their families. We truly appreciate your partnership and everything you do to help ensure patients receive the care they deserve. You are valued and appreciated more than you know!

A cancer diagnosis can bring uncertainty, stress, and many difficult emotions. For someone going through breast cancer, knowing they have support can make a meaningful difference.

Sometimes the most helpful things are simple:
• Listen without feeling the need to have all the answers
• Offer specific help, such as meals, transportation, or errands
• Check in regularly, even if it’s just a quick message
• Respect their needs and give them space when they ask for it
• Continue to treat them as the person they’ve always been, not just as a diagnosis

A little compassion, patience, and presence can go a long way. 💕
