We also want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to two leaders who contributed so much behind the scenes to help make the Leadership in Peer Support Summit successful 👏💙

Emily Bollinger and Isaac Hahn have both had to step up in a major way over the last year at C.C. We Adapt, and we want them to know that their hard work has absolutely not gone unnoticed.

From helping make this conference come together to keeping daily operations running as smoothly as possible, the amount of leadership, flexibility, problem-solving, and commitment they continue to show is something we are incredibly grateful for.

A lot of the work that keeps organizations moving forward happens quietly behind the scenes—and these two have been a huge part of that.

Thank you, Emily and Isaac, for your contributions, your leadership, and your willingness to continue showing up for the team and the individuals we serve every day.

We truly couldn’t do it without you. 🙌

We also want to give a huge thank you to Ventus Rex for presenting at the Leadership in Peer Support Summit and sharing more about their Peer Recovery Platform 💻🙌

At We Adapt, we personally use Ventus Rex software within our organization, and we truly have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with it.

As organizations continue growing and adapting, having systems that improve organization, communication, compliance, and workflow efficiency is incredibly important—and Ventus Rex has done a great job creating a platform that supports exactly that while still keeping services person-centered.

Their breakout session highlighted:
✔️ How technology can strengthen peer support and recovery services
✔️ Ways to streamline workflows and improve communication across teams
✔️ Program management and compliance tools
✔️ Using data and organization systems to improve outcomes and service delivery
✔️ How structured systems can help organizations grow sustainably

One thing we appreciated most about this presentation was the focus on using technology to SUPPORT the work—not replace the human connection that makes peer support so impactful.

Thank you again to Ventus Rex for sharing your knowledge and for continuing to create tools that help organizations like ours operate more effectively and efficiently. 👏

“Stop saying stupid stuff out loud.”

That was one of the messages from Joanna Lohman’s keynote presentation that REALLY stuck with us. 👀

And honestly… she’s right.

Mindset matters. The things we repeatedly tell ourselves matter. It’s already difficult enough when negative thoughts are running through our own heads—but when we constantly speak those thoughts out loud, we begin impacting the people around us too.

How often do we say:
❌ “I can’t do this.”
❌ “Nothing ever works out.”
❌ “I’m not good enough.”
❌ “This is going to fail.”

Not only does that shape our own mindset, but it also affects our teams, coworkers, families, and environments.

One of the biggest takeaways from the conference was the reminder that leadership starts with how we think, speak, and show up every day.

That doesn’t mean pretending challenges don’t exist. It means being intentional about the way we respond to them.

This message has stayed with our team since the conference, and we hope it sticks with you too. 💙

Another huge thank you goes out to Attorney David Carlson and Aziz Abdullah for leading such an insightful breakout session on Leveraging Technology in Peer Support, Businesses, and Organizations 💻🙌

Technology is changing the way organizations operate, and this session did an incredible job highlighting how businesses and peer support organizations can embrace innovation while still maintaining the human-centered approach that is at the heart of this work.

David and Aziz shared practical, real-world strategies on:
✔️ Streamlining workflows
✔️ Improving compliance and accountability
✔️ Enhancing communication and operational efficiency
✔️ Protecting sensitive information and strengthening security
✔️ Using technology to support sustainable growth

One of the biggest takeaways from this session was the importance of balancing innovation with integrity—making sure organizations continue prioritizing connection, accessibility, and quality care while adapting to an evolving world.

We are incredibly thankful for the knowledge, perspective, and practical tools they brought to this conversation. Sessions like this are so important as organizations continue navigating growth, compliance, and service delivery in today’s environment.

Thank you again, David and Aziz, for sharing your expertise with our attendees! 👏

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many and to recognize the families, loved ones, and communities forever impacted by that sacrifice.

Because of their courage and selflessness, we have freedoms that should never be taken for granted.

From all of us at We Adapt, thank you to those who served and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

One of the most impactful moments of the Leadership in Peer Support Summit was our Lived Experience Panel Discussion 💙

Facilitated by Isaac Hahn, this panel featured Brianna Traut, Kevin Walton, and Justin Fierke—individuals who openly shared their personal journeys, challenges, growth, and the realities of navigating the workforce with lived experience.

The conversation highlighted something incredibly important:
👉 lived experience matters.

Not only can lived experience impact someone’s path to employment and professional growth, but it also brings a level of understanding, relatability, and connection that is invaluable when working with the populations we serve.

Hearing the panelists speak honestly about overcoming barriers, finding opportunities, and using their experiences to help others created meaningful conversations throughout the room. Their stories were a powerful reminder that lived experience is not a weakness—it is a strength that can positively shape organizations, teams, and services.

We are incredibly thankful to Isaac, Brianna, Kevin, and Justin for their willingness to share openly and help continue important conversations around inclusion, opportunity, and the value of peer support.

These are the conversations that move our field forward. 🙌

We are a little over a week out since the Leadership in Peer Support conference and as we reflect, we are incredibly proud of what this event represented—not only for our organization, but for the peer support community as a whole.

The conversations around this conference began back in 2024, and at the time it felt so far away. Since then, our organization has experienced years’ worth of growth, challenges, change, and adaptation in a very short period of time. Through those experiences, we learned valuable lessons that we wanted to share with others in the field—and this conference gave us the opportunity to do exactly that.

One thing has remained consistent through every challenge:
👉 our team’s commitment to continuing to provide quality services and support to the individuals who rely on us.

That resilience and adaptability is what We Adapt is built on.

Having Joanna Lohman as our keynote speaker was the perfect fit for this event. Her message around leadership, resilience, mindset, and growth strongly reflected the culture and values our team strives to embody every day. We are incredibly thankful for the insight, energy, and perspective she brought to the conference.

We also want to thank:
💙 Our sponsors for believing in our vision and helping make this event possible
💙 Our breakout presenters for sharing your expertise and experiences
💙 Every attendee who spent the day learning, networking, and growing with us
💙 Our We Adapt team for the countless hours spent planning and preparing behind the scenes

This conference was an opportunity to bring people together, share ideas, and continue strengthening leadership within peer support and human services—and we are grateful to everyone who helped make it a success.

And yes… we fully plan to do it again next year. 🙌

Thank you all again for your support. We’re excited for what’s ahead.
