Second, we are not criticizing the complainant involved in that incident, as some of the actions taken by the other party could be perceived as out of the ordinary. The reason for the post yesterday was to inform the public we received the complaint, took it seriously, investigated it, but found no evidence of a crime or continued threat to the public.

Please be aware, NO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OR REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY COURT WILL REQUEST BITCOIN AS PAYMENT. These scammers often will tell you that you or a family member have an arrest warrant, and that they will take you to jail if you do not pay. If ever you receive a call like this, please contact local or state law enforcement. Please share this information with family as older folks are often the most vulnerable for this scam.
