🚒 INVESTING IN OUR FIREFIGHTERS. INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY. 🚒
The Edcouch Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Alderwoman Selma Garcia Morales, Mayor Virginio Gonzalez Jr., City Manager Marcy Aguilar and the City of Edcouch Board of Aldermen for their commitment to public safety and for approving the purchase of 16 new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) units for our department.
SCBAs are one of the most critical pieces of protective equipment a firefighter carries. They provide firefighters with a safe supply of breathable air while operating in environments filled with smoke, toxic gases, and dangerous atmospheres. Having reliable, modern SCBA equipment helps our firefighters perform their duties more safely and effectively when responding to structure fires and other hazardous incidents.
This investment represents much more than the purchase of equipment — it demonstrates the City’s continued commitment to public safety, Emergency Management, firefighter safety, and the protection of our residents and community.
We are grateful to have leaders who recognize the importance of keeping our firefighters properly equipped and who continue to support the Edcouch VFD as we work to move our department forward, strengthen our emergency response capabilities, and better serve the Delta Area.
On behalf of the men and women of the Edcouch Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU for believing in our department and investing in the safety of those who answer the call. 🇺🇸🚒
📖 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
— 1 Peter 4:10
May God continue to guide our community leaders, our firefighters, and all those who dedicate themselves to serving others.
Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and better-prepared Edcouch.
🚒🇺🇸🙏
