VFW Post 7949 This page is about the Veteran of Foreign Wars a Veterans organization to help Veterans with any pro VFW Post 7949 was formed in Eddystone, PA in 1945.

Our VFW post is named in honor of Private Edward N. Hunter, a resident of Eddystone who was killed in World War II. Private Hunter was a member of the 45th Infantry Division and is buried in an American military cemetery near Nettuno, Italy.

IT IS WITH A HEAVY AND SAD HEART THAT I ANNOUNCE THAT PVT. EDWARD N, HUNTER VFW 7949 WILL CLOSE ITS DOORS ON NOVEMBER 30TH. ON SATURDAY WILL BE A BIG BLOW OUT SPECIAL PRICE FOR DRINKS. ANYONE WANTS TO BRING FOOD IS FINE. WE WILL OPEN ON SUNDAY THE 30TH FOR THE LAST TIME.
