❗❗Community Action Alert❗❗

Eddystone Residents:

The incoming winter storm projected for Sunday early evening 22 Feb 2026 thru Monday Morning 23 Feb 2026 has a potential of a 12" to 24" snowfall (high end projection) for our area.
(Let's hope the forecasters are wrong)

We ask you for your assistance for our community operational needs.

Snow will be a heavy wet snow nicknamed "Heart Attack Snow", so shoveling may/will be an issue for those with cardio and pulmonary health conditions.

In addition to the snow accumulation there could be a potential of widespread power outages due to high winds and the heavy snow on lines.

In the event of power loss, and no availability for you and your family to relocate to a hotel or family/friends, please contact the Borough Manager at 610-220-1385. Borough officials will do thier level best to assist.

* Please park all vehicles in driveways when possible.

* Please refrain from putting any snow back into the streets making it harder for ambulances and other emergency vehicles to get down streets (Most are not 4x4 Units).

* Please bring all pets indoors and out of the cold.

* Please keep elderly family, friends, and neighbors in mind when shoveling snow.
Check on frequently and assist them with snow removal from their walkways.

* Please remain off the roads whenever possible during the storm to limit vehicle collisions, obstructing emergency vehicles, and snow plowing operations.

* Do not block or cover fire hydrants with snow.

* If a hydrant is near/on your property (corners/alleys), please keep it clear and accessible by shoveling out.
In the event of a fire, delays in getting water supply to the fire apparatus is critical.
If we can't find the hydrant or delayed getting water supply established digging out the hydrant, the results could be disastrous for life and property loss.

Be mindful if you are shoveling or over exerting yourself. If you start experiencing a medical issue (chest pains, sever shortness of breath, etc) call 911.

Throughout the storm, staffing of paid and volunteer Fire/EMS will respond to Medical and Fire related emergencies.

Continue to monitor the weather reports on local news stations for up to date condition status.

Stay inside, watch a movie or sporting event, have a hot beverage and meal.

Take care, stay safe, be well.....
