DFL Feminist Caucus The DFL Feminist Caucus will be a force championing feminist issues in Minnesota.

I’m proud to be endorsed by the Committee to Protect Health Care and named a Care for MN Candidate!

Health care should be about taking care of people, not profiting off them.

In the Minnesota House, I’ll fight to lower costs, protect coverage, defend reproductive freedom, and make sure every Minnesotan can get the care they need, when they need it, without breaking the bank.

I’m grateful to have health care professionals standing with us in the fight to make health care work better for people.

Let’s get to work building a healthier Minnesota!

Gloria Steinem is a feminist icon, full stop. Ahead of their annual meeting this year, the Feminist Caucus asked members to identify their top three priorities for the upcoming year. The definitive answers were reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in the United States, and healthcare access, specifically concerning women’s health. These three priorities perfectly reflect the exact issues Gloria Steinem has spent her life fighting for, advocating for, and ultimately changing for the better.

Gloria has fought endlessly for healthcare and reproductive rights, famously leading by example when she shared her own abortion story to destigmatize the procedure. Through Ms. Magazine, she created a platform that highlighted women’s health and autonomy, consistently reporting on the political and policy shifts affecting everyday healthcare. Her journalistic efforts directly fueled her advocacy for the ERA — an amendment that, shockingly, has still not been passed.

Throughout her career, Steinem has highlighted one common denominator: how localized or individual struggles connect to a much broader systemic fight. For example, healthcare access isn't just an abstract policy issue; it directly mirrors modern crises like the current struggle of rural healthcare in Minnesota, which impacts readers daily. Similarly, bodily autonomy spans a vast spectrum — from ensuring abortion access to banning conversion therapy designed to target LGBTQ+ individuals. Gloria Steinem was not one to shy away from helping and advocating for others, seamlessly including broader causes, including disability rights.

To Gloria Steinem, a feminist icon who made the impossible possible through her fierce persistence, her refusal to be silenced, and her courage to be vulnerable when it mattered most. May we honor her legacy by staying kind to one another, listening deeply to diverse stories, and taking meaningful action to better our communities.

I'm so grateful for SEIU's endorsement, which is very meaningful to me!

My work has long focused on health and long-term care, and I know how critical it is to support the people doing this essential work. SEIU members bring an essential commitment to so many parts of our communities, from schools and airports to the services people rely on every day.

I'm committed to supporting workers fighting for fair pay, respect, and collective power.

Tough enough to lead. Tough enough to make the tough calls.
As a firefighter, I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about taking the easy way out. It’s about stepping up when the stakes are high and doing what’s right for our communities.

I’ll bring that same approach to the Senate:
*Tough on fraud: I’ll work to recover every dollar stolen from Minnesota taxpayers and hold those responsible accountable.
* Tough on crime: keep our communities safe and support law enforcement while focusing on effective solutions.
* Tough decisions: put people first, even when the choices aren’t easy.

Chris Ford: Tough. Tested. Ready to Lead.

Minnesota does big things AND grows big things, too.
Like giant pumpkins displayed at the Fair’s Horticulture Building! Also thanks to the U of M’s College of Food, Ag, and Natural Resource Sciences…

Care Providers of Minnesota recently endorsed Amáda Márquez Simula for election to the Minnesota House in district 39B. Amáda Márquez Simula’s support
of—and interest in—long-term care for the growing senior demographic was the primary reason she earned the
CARE-PAC endorsement.
“Our dedicated long-term care professionals are proud to support Amáda Márquez Simula” said Toby Pearson,
President & CEO of Care Providers of Minnesota. “Amáda Márquez Simula’s understands our state’s long-term
care issues, the need to expand our workforce, and the personal financing challenges facing seniors receiving
long-term care services and supports. In addition, she has a deep commitment to maintaining Minnesota’s reputation for high-quality long-term care—wherever that care is provided.” Pearson stated: “It is essential that our elected officials have a plan for and commit to funding the needs of our seniors so that providers can continue to provide the quality of care that our seniors deserve and expect. With
60,000 Minnesotans turning 65 every year for the next 15 years, it is critical that our elected officials prioritize funding for senior care. Nursing facilities, assisted living settings, and home care providers struggle to hire experienced, quality caregivers in their settings—caregivers who are the cornerstone to providing quality care for Minnesota’s seniors. It is up to lawmakers to invest in these jobs and the caregiving profession for today’s
seniors and the 25% of Minnesota adults who will be age 65 or older in the next decade.”
“We are excited to endorse Amáda Márquez Simula to continue supporting caregivers and quality care and to
continue our partnership with elected officials into the future.”
