There were a series of vehicle thefts and larcenies last night in the Town of Eden. Remember to lock your vehicle doors! If you have any information or video footage of these crimes, please call the Eden Police at 716-992-9211. The adaptive car seat (for special needs transportation) pictured below is among the stolen items. If you see this car seat please call or bring it to the Eden Police Department.

The Town of Eden Police Department reports that another instance of Criminal Mischief has occurred on Hillbrook Drive in Eden. At 3:37AM a subject can be seen on surveillance video approaching a house on Hillbrook Drive and throwing at least one object through the front window. The subject then flees through neighboring yards. Police believe the subject escaped in a waiting vehicle parked on the next street. This is the same residence which has had objects thrown through windows at least four times in the past. Anyone who has information regarding these incidents or who recognizes the subject is asked to call the Town of Eden Police at 716-992-9211.

The Eden Police Department is asking for your help to identify this individual. This person is wanted for questioning in an ongoing criminal investigation. This individual spoke to one of our residents and days later the pictured object was thrown at the resident’s house. Call Eden Police at (716) 992-9211 with any information.

This morning shortly before 7am a town resident walked into the station requesting assistance with his puppy who had trouble breathing due to an object its throat. Eden Police Officers Eric Milks and Brian Burgstahler performed the Heimlich and back blows to free the obstruction.

Eden Police Clerk Kim Soda made contact with the Eden Veterinary Clinic where Officers rushed the puppy to be checked out by Dr. Tarrido before reuniting the puppy with its owner.

The puppy did not have a name, so the officers are referring to it as Lucky!

National Grid has advised there will be several streets in the hamlet are without power starting at 9:00 a.m. They need to do maintenance work.

We have had numerous reports of residents receiving calls which have the Eden Police Department phone number on the caller ID. The calls in question were scam calls attempting to obtain personal information by stating there were arrest warrants issued for them. If anyone receives a call from our number that sounds suspicious, they should hang up and call the department directly.

Town of Eden Police have been investigating complaints of ATVs and dirt bikes on private property without land owner’s consent in the area extending south from the end of E. Pleasant St. to E. Church St. This area contains the gravel pit and grape vineyards. There have also been complaints of operation on roadways.

Eden Police want to make it known to the public that this is unlawful and violators will be prosecuted.
