Saint Mary’s is hosting its annual Chicken Barbecue and Basket Raffle at a new location this year, 8558 Sisson Highway just north of Schintzius Road.

Dinners will be served beginning at 11:00 a.m. and will be served until sold out! You can dine-in or takeout.

Please note: All presale dinner tickets must be picked up by 1:00 p.m.

Recruitment and retention of volunteer firefighters is on the decline statewide.

The volunteer firefighter tax credit bill has passed both houses of the New York State Legislature; this would increase the tax credit that volunteer firefighters receive.

Now the tax credit bill is awaiting delivery to Governor Hochul's desk — and we need your voice. Please use the link below to contact Governor Hochul's office today and urge her to sign this bill. Let her know that volunteer firefighters and EMS workers across New York are counting on her support.

This Memorial Day, the members of the East Eden Fire Company proudly remember and honor the heroes from every branch of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice protects the freedoms we cherish and reminds us of the true meaning of courage, duty, and patriotism.

Today, we stand united in gratitude for all who have served, and we especially remember those who never made it home.

We also extend special recognition and appreciation to the members of the East Eden Fire Company who have proudly served our nation in the military, as well as those currently serving today. Your dedication to both your country and your community is deeply respected and appreciated. 🇺🇸

East Eden Fire Company, along with Eden Fire Department, Eden Emergency & Rescue Squad, and Eden Police, participated in a Dangers of Drinking and Driving presentation to show Eden high school students the dangers of drinking and driving.

The East Eden Fire Company had an appreciation dinner to recognize their active firefighters and spouses. Town Supervisor Rich Ventry also installed the fire company’s Social and Firematic Officers for 2026-2027 term. Also in attendance were Life Members, Town of Eden officials, and representatives of other emergency service agencies in the town.
Brad Schrieber was recipient of the 2024 Firefighter of the Year Award. Harold Haier was recipient of 2025 Firefighter of the Year Award.
The Fire Company added a third Honorary member. The recipient of that was Mark Jarmusz of Eden Collision for his continuous support of the fire company and membership.
