Big news for Draper Volunteer Fire Department!

We are proud to announce that Draper Volunteer Fire Department has officially been recognized as a medium rescue provider through the North Carolina Association of Rescue & EMS! Being recognized as a medium rescue provider means our department has met the North Carolina Association of Rescue & EMS requirements to provide basic and advanced rescue capabilities, basic and advanced vehicle extrication, and basic life-support functions as an initial responder. This classification requires trained personnel, appropriate rescue equipment, and the ability to respond with that equipment ready for use.

What does this allow us to do?
Our medium rescue capability enhances our ability to respond to incidents where specialized rescue skills and equipment may be needed, including: Vehicle extrication, Technical Rescue Capabilities, Initial Medical Support, and Advanced Rescue Response.

This is about more than a certification, this recognition represents hours of training, dedication, equipment preparation, and commitment from our members.

Our firefighters continue to train and develop their skills so that when someone in our community is trapped, injured, or facing a difficult rescue situation, Draper Fire can arrive prepared to help.

We are extremely proud of the men and women who have worked to make this possible.

This is another step forward in our commitment to providing the citizens of the Draper Rural community with a well-trained, well-equipped, and capable emergency response organization.
