Keana (Kay) was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and is the second of three children. She is a practicing executive nurse with specialties in surgery and forensics. She and her husband are small business owners, and youth mentors. Kay is the lay person for her church’s women’s ministry and serves as a servant leader for the youth ministry. She loves to travel and experience new cities, islands, f
oods, and culture. Kay has a master’s degree in healthcare administration. She continues to do business development and speak with nurse residence and nursing students on advanced educational programs and opportunities. Kay served on the Maryland Nurses Association Board, Task Force Committee, Planning Board and Chamber of Commerce. She also participated in multiple selection committees for Redevelopment Agency (RDA) projects. Kay loves staying involved with her church community. Though her career centers around education and speaking with nurses. Kay is often found spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
