Friday, August 14th • Sounds of Summer & Back to School Bash
Come hang out with your Edenton Police Department for a night of good music, great food, and family fun!

Location:
Colonial Waterfront Park at the end of South Broad Street.

🕐 Schedule:
• 4:00 – Food trucks & DJ
• 5:00–7:00 – Free backpack & school supply pickup for ECPS students
• 6:00–8:00 – Connected Jazz live

Court Street Parking Update:

The Court Street parking lot will soon be paved and reopened as free public parking, offering a cleaner, more welcoming first impression for everyone visiting downtown Edenton.

Beneath the surface, this project has included major infrastructure improvements, from enhanced stormwater management and buried utilities to the groundwork for a future parking deck. These upgrades lay the foundation for continued improvements to our downtown while preserving the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

We also want to acknowledge that construction has not been easy. We know this project has been an inconvenience for our downtown businesses, visitors, and especially the residents of Court Street who have lived with the day-to-day impacts of construction. Your patience, flexibility, and understanding have been sincerely appreciated throughout this process.

As Phase 1A wraps up, we will continue pursuing funding for Phase 1B and Phase 2 of the project. This will include construction of a parking deck designed to complement the residential character of Court Street while adding over 100 parking spaces to our downtown district.
