The Wessington House

The Wessington House The Wessington House, a historic residence located in Edenton, NC, was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Douglas in 2008, and is currently for sale.

After over 100 years in the Graham family, The Wessington House was acquired in November 2008 by Richard and Katherine Douglas. The Douglas's involvement with James Madison’s Montpelier, in Orange VA, has been a contributing strength to the restoration project. Getting down to the historic “bones” of the building has meant removing all plumbing, three feet of bad floor & mud in the basement, a dea

d elevator, four layers of electric installation, a 1930’s central vacuum system – complete with cast iron vacuum pipes – and 40+ cast iron hot water radiators.
