The Town of Edenton Electric Department will begin AMI meter change-outs this afternoon, June 17, 2026. Work will continue through Thursday and Friday in the areas listed below:

* Marine Dr
* Anchors Way
* Windsor Ln
* Bluegill Circle
* Soundshore Dr
* Country Club Dr
* Midway Dr
* Bayview Trail
* Wake Ave
* Montpelier Dr
* Coral Ln
* Surfside Dr
* Beachview Dr
* Seaview Dr
* Blackbeards Rd
* Rockfish St
* Bella Vista Dr
* Horniblow Point Rd
* Parts of Soundside Rd

All locations within the highlighted area on the attached map are scheduled to receive new AMI meters between today and Friday.

Customers may experience a brief interruption of electric service while their meter is being replaced. Most meter exchanges take only a few minutes to complete.

Beginning Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the Town of Edenton Electric Department will be changing electric meters in the following areas located past Hubley Drive (Pelican Vinyl) on Yeopim Road:

* Hobbs Lane
* All of Poplar Neck Road
* Perry Road
* Quail Run
* Haughton Road
* Indian Trail Road (up to the 400 block)
* St. John Road
* Cove Drive
* Sandy Point Road
* Edgewater Lane
* Mulberry Hill Lane
* Benbury Lane
* Alexander Road
* Birch Lane
* Apple Lane
* Soundside Road (1110–1150 block)
* Soundside Road (200–440 block)

Our crew members will knock on your door and notify you before changing your meter. During the meter exchange, you may experience a brief interruption of electric service lasting only a few minutes.

* Emperor Landing Road
* Hickory Fork Road
* Mexico Road to State Employees’ Credit Union

❗️Tree Trimming Notice ❗️

The Town’s tree crew will begin work tomorrow, June 9, along E. Water Street, continuing up Oakum Street to Park Avenue.

This work is expected to take several days to complete. Residents and motorists in the area may experience temporary delays and are asked to use caution when traveling through work zones.
