What is R.A.D.?
R**e Aggression Defense Systems is NOT a martial arts program. R.A.D. is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women only course, that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance; followed by hands on instruction in defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault. It utilizes easy, effective, and proven self-defense tactics.

This is a 6 hour program and attendance is required for entire sessions.
Minimum age is 14 years old.

This morning, our department had the honor of taking part in Shop with a Cop, and it was truly one of the best ways to start the day.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and supporters, we were able to spend time with some amazing kids, help them pick out gifts, and share a lot of laughs along the way. From racing shopping carts down the aisles to carefully choosing the perfect items, the excitement and smiles made it clear just how special this event is.

Shop with a Cop is more than just shopping. It’s about building trust, making connections, and letting kids know they are supported and cared for. Seeing their joy and appreciation reminded us why community events like this matter so much.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible, from organizers and volunteers to local businesses and donors. Thank you for allowing us to be part of something so meaningful and fun. It’s a morning we won’t forget.

Edgar Springs Police Department would like to Welcome and Congratulate, our newest Officer, Joshua Rester. Officer Rester graduated the Missouri Sheriff Association Academy as the valedictorian and was awarded a Life-Saving Commendation by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Rester initiated immediate CPR to a fellow cadet during a medical emergency, while in training at the academy, contributing to saving the cadet’s life.

In addition to these achievements, Officer Rester serves as an active duty member in the Army and works as a part-time EMT. We are grateful for his dedication to service and are honored to welcome him to the Edgar Springs Police Department.
