EMS week……a week to appreciate, remember, and acknowledge the EMTs, and Paramedics who work tirelessly to help those around them.

A week to give gratitude to those that came before us. Those that walked so we could run.

A week to carry the memory of providers who lost their lives trying to help others.

The island has a strong group of talented providers. EMS providers who give their all everyday, to help their community, and those around them.

We thank them for their efforts, for their incredible passion, and for their unwavering want to make a difference.

We asked, and you guys delivered!

During town meeting we asked for some money to purchase new equipment.

Specifically the LUCAS device. The LUCAS is an automatic CPR compressions device.

Having a device for automatic compressions not only reduces provider fatigue, because compressions are HARD! But it also frees up a provider to be able to perform other tasks during a call. In a short staffed environment we need all the hands we can get!

Thank you again for always supporting us! It feels great to have the backing of the town you love!
