It was a historic day for the Katama Airfield! Replacing the 1940’s era hangar has been a project 20 years in the works. Today was bittersweet as we said goodbye to the trusty old hangar to make space for a new facility. The new hangar has been designed to maintain the distinct historic features of the old, and will be erected over the course of the fall and winter. There are too many to thank throughout the course of this venture, but in particular, thanks go to the Town of Edgartown, the Katama Airfield Commission, and the Katama Airfield Trust.
