While the final numbers for all the warrants have not yet been released, the results of contests for town offices are available, as well as three warrant articles that were subject to much debate.

Beware Facebook Imposter
The Select Board has requested that the page, “Town of Edgecomb” add a disclaimer to their page, stating that it is not the official government Edgecomb, Maine page. As it currently appears, many residents could reasonably believe the page is operated by the town itself. Items posted there are not official town news. “About” information is incorrect and misleading. It is incorrect to call that page a “government organization.”

Revised Numbers for 2026-2027 Town Budget

Updated numbers for the Town’s Proposed 2026-2027 Budget, following the School Budget vote at the May 2 Town Meeting, are now available at edgecomb.org. That vote reduced the overall town budget. Also included are updated summaries, one of the proposed Budget by Departments, and the second of final amounts after deductions for all Offsets by Department.

Tax Collector Away May 12 and June 2

Our Tax Collector, Jessica Mague, will be away for training on Tuesday, May 12, and Tuesday, June 2. The town hall will be open only for business with the Town Clerk/Treasurer, Claudia Coffin, 1-6 pm. Vehicle and boat registrations may be completed only online on these days.

Warrant for Annual Town Meeting Available Now

The Selectboard has approved the 2025-2026 Warrant for the Proposed Town Budget (https://edgecomb.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Secret-Ballot-Election-and-Referendum-May-16-2026.pdf) to be presented and voted by secret ballot on May 16, 2026. There will be a Public Hearing to present the Referendum Warrant Articles at the Town Hall on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:00 PM.
Vote on the School Budget will be in Town Meeting format, held at the Eddy School on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Notice of Public Hearing

The Edgecomb Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the application of the Twisted Willow Farm on March 19, 2026. The applicant, Rebecca Abbott, is seeking approval of a site plan review for the use of five acres in the Marine Zone for boarding and training horses for a fee and in the Shoreland Zone for agriculture. The property is located at 138 River Road in Edgecomb, Map R-05, Lot 18.3. The public hearing will be held at the Edgecomb Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Budget/School Board meeting 2/16/26

The Budget Committee will meet with EES School Board members at Eddy School this coming Monday, February 16, at 6:00 PM. They will discuss the school’s draft budget for 2026-2027, and review the recently released “Actuals” for prior years. As with all Budget Committee meetings, this one is open to the public.
