I’m at The American Legion National Headquarters 107th National Convention in Louisville, KY, representing Post 30 and having a great time. It’s been a busy schedule of convention and committee meetings as an SC delegate, SC Department Caucus meetings, and national training sessions. And there’s been plenty of time to catch up with friends, meet new people, and see a little of Louisville.

We stopped by TLC Confections & Gifts for breakfast this morning and ran into a few other Post 30 members while we were there.

TLC has been a longtime supporter of Post 30, and we're always glad to support the businesses that support us.

And if you haven't tried one of their grits bowls yet, we highly recommend it!

There’s a lot going on at Post 30.

At our August meeting last night, we heard from Eva Finnan of Great Oak Equine Assisted Programs about their work and plans to expand programs for veterans.

We’re also getting ready to launch a new veteran outreach program, several members stepped forward to support new projects, and we held our first 50/50 raffle.

We’ll have the stories, photos and details in the September edition of the Hezzie Gazette. Stay tuned!
