Meat Inferno, our 5th annual barbeque contest, is coming up on Friday, September 11!

Are you coming down to enjoy the Kids 'Q contest? Maybe the free BBQ Dinner from GBA (while supplies last)? How about the live music or the light and fire show?

The fun starts at 5PM in downtown Edgerton, outside The Greenspace!

Reminder: Chip and seal work begins today. They plan to be finished tomorrow.

UPDATE: This work has been postponed until next Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8 & 9.

Street preservation is underway this week. Crews with Mid-America Road Builders will be in town to chip-seal several streets. Homes that will be impacted should receive a notice on their front door.

Impacted roads are:
▪️West 7th Street and Hulett, North of Nelson
▪️1st Street, North of Nelson
▪️Hulett Street, from 1st to East 4th
▪️McCarty, from 1st to East 4th

While work is underway, no street parking will be allowed. Call City Hall at 913-893-6231 if you have any questions.

Meat Inferno is coming up on September 11 & 12!

During the BBQ contest, roads in downtown Edgerton will be blocked off and parking restrictions will be in effect in the surrounding neighborhoods. The road closures begin on Friday morning (Sept 11) at 7 a.m.

▪ Nelson Street from East 3rd to East 5th
▪ 4th Street from 56 Hwy to the driveway behind the Library
▪ Hulett Street in front of the gravel parking lot

These roads will reopen to traffic on Saturday afternoon after the awards are handed out. Please do not drive around barricades. See the full schedule of events for Meat Inferno at meatinferno.com
