Good Morning Edgerton!

Today starts our construction for our new skylights.

We have a small section blocked off downstairs with no access to our faxing machine.
There may also be temporary blockage of the parking lot door.

Please keep a close eye on your littles to prevent them from going into the taped areas.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you!

NOTE: An upstairs section will also be blocked off at some point.

We did a really cool thing last night! Patrons gathered at Silverwood Park - Dane County, Wisconsin to learn about and get some hands on experience with mushroom log inoculation and tour the park.

This program was part of our Stories & Soil series in partnership with Silverwood Park. The series is funded through an outreach grant from Prairie Lakes Library System .

Check it out! With a generous grant from the Prairie Lakes Library System, Edgerton Public Library was able to install a permanent StoryWalk® in Edgerton's Central Park near the playground! EPL Staff will be changing out the story during the first week of each month.

Our first story, "Mister Seahorse" by Eric Carle, has gone into the frames today - stop by and give the story a read!

Look what we did today! Our Community Garden is in. Just a reminder that we are looking for volunteers to come and help staff members on "Garden Tending" days. We'll be out there approximately 3 days per week. When produce is ready to harvest, volunteers who are at the garden can claim a share. Obviously, there won't be anything to harvest in the first month or so, but we hope you'll still come and help us! Any extra produce will be donated to Edgerton Community Outreach

We're getting excited for our Summer Reading Program! Today, Kirsten, who's a member of the Madison Knitters' Guild, dropped off bags of reading buddies for kids who sign up for the summer reading program (while supplies last). There are so many adorable friends to go to good homes!

Ms. Stephanie and Miss Jillian also spent the day screen printing - the totebags for our adult summer reading finishers are nearly complete (peep this year's design)!
