🚑 PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE: JEFFERSON COUNTY EMS FUNDING PROPOSAL

Jefferson County will be hosting two identical public meetings to provide an opportunity for open and transparent discussion regarding a proposal currently being considered by the EMS Working Group.

The proposal would provide financial support to existing EMS providers through the creation of a new countywide levy.

These meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.

Both meetings will cover the same information, so residents may attend whichever meeting is most convenient.

We encourage Town of Sumner residents to attend, ask questions, and learn more about this proposal and its potential impact on our community.

🔥 A note from GFL:

We’ve recently experienced several incidents caused by lithium batteries being placed in the trash. These batteries can ignite when crushed or damaged during collection and disposal, creating a serious fire and safety risk.

Lithium batteries are found in more everyday items than you might realize. Please take a moment to review this infographic and familiarize yourself with some of the most common items that can cause load fires.

When in doubt, keep batteries out of the trash.

A little extra care when disposing of these items can go a long way in protecting our collection crews, equipment and community. Thank you for doing your part!
