McElwee & Trainor for Edgewater Park

McElwee & Trainor for Edgewater Park Please support John McElwee & Mike Trainor in their campaign for Re-Election to the Township Committee for Edgewater Park, NJ on November 3rd, 2015.

About John McElwee:

My wife Wanda and I have two children, Lisa (age 16) and John (age 13). I have served on Edgewater Park Township Committee since 2010 in the capacity of Committeeman, Deputy Mayor and Mayor. I am a veteran of the United States Army where I served as a Military Policeman on active duty for three years. During that time I was stationed in Korea for one year and then at Fort Bra

gg, North Carolina to finish my tour of duty. During my time at Fort Bragg I was deployed to Panama for a Peace Keeping Mission. I have served on the Edgewater Park Planning Board as an alternate. I have also served as Secretary of the Edgewater Park Athletic Association for the past four years. Currently in my capacity as Mayor I serve on the Planning Board and as liaison to the Edgewater Park Athletic Association. I am employed by Hyundai City in Edgewater Park. I am well versed in Municipal Government and enjoy working for the community. Three years I ago I promised to bring back the Memorial Day Parade and I have kept that promise by working on it and co-chairing the parade committee for the last two years. I am also a member of Edgewater Park Elks Lodge 2550. Since being a part of Township Committee I have helped to bring new business to the Rt 130 corridor (Bottom Dollar), kept the Memorial Day Parade going in Edgewater Park, renovated parks, (Weimann with the irrigation and currently Wood Lake). I am also working on bringing one hundred new homes into the community at the old Drive In location. If re-elected I would like to continue to play a role in the betterment of Edgewater Park and to continue making it a better place to live. About Mike Trainor:

As the father of three children, Brandon, Alexis and Jayson and married to my wife Teresa, our family moved to Edgewater Park in 1998 soon after the birth of our first child. Teresa and I chose Edgewater Park because of its small town feel and closely knit community. Born, raised and educated in South Jersey, I have a strong bond with our collective communities and residents. During my time in Edgewater Park I have volunteered time to the Environmental Shadetree Committee, the Recreation Committee, the Redevelopment Committee and the Neighborhood Watch. I have served as a Board Member of the EPAA for 4 years and condsider my greatest accomplishments to be working with the team that obtained grants for the irrigation of Weimann Field and bringing football back to our town by way of our Flag Football League. I started the league in 2009 with just over 50 children and last season our program had grown to just under 100. It is a great feeling to see our fields bubbling with action and excitement on Saturday mornings in the spring. As a graduate of Rowan University I have worked in the banking and finance industry since 1998. I understand first hand how important each individual is to the success of a community. If given the opportunity to serve the people of Edgewater Park I would use the personal and professional skills I have acquired throughout my life to act as the voice of the residents.

On the eve of another Election Day I would like to say a few things. First thank you for all of the support through this election. The campaign committee Bea and Lester Holley (Lester was also our Treasurer), our campaign manager Karen Daly and my running mate Mike Trainor, thank you all for the support and for being there to work as a team. There were others that helped and supported us more than anyone knows from behind the scenes and I want to thank them all as well.
Now one last thing to say and no it is not vote for me lol. But it is to say to vote! Voting is a right too many people take for granted. We need to exercise that right, it is the only way to change the system and try to fix what is wrong. Yes I will tell you to vote for Herb Conaway, MD and Troy Singleton for Assembly. These two men have fought and championed bills for what is best for everyone. They are sincerely dedicated to the community and are
very approachable. They honestly care! You have two experienced Freeholders running as well, Joanne Schwartz and Aimee Belgard. Both of these women have made the Freeholder Board transparent. Things are no longer being rubber stamped. And don't believe the re-runs of the lies. At least their opponents know how to recycle, they started with the negative campaign ads. I have heard what Joanne and Aimee are going to do but their opponents have said nothing, unless you count the negativity. Look the Freeholder Board needs balance. These women have proven themselves time after time again. And please remember if taxes were raised it was the Republicans that did it because they have the control in the board. Nothing gets passed without three votes and there are only two democrats so do the math. Don't listen to the ads do your research and make informative decisions. Look at all the candidates based on facts not accusations. I know I have went long on this but this it is important. No matter who you vote for remember research them first then base it on the truth not lies and misleading statements. At the end of the day we all will have to live with the decision. And let's make the best we can. So go out and vote and remember one person or vote can make a
difference. All those ones add up to a whole lot. November 3rd VOTE! Thanks!!!!

With just over 24 hours left until decisions are made, please remember that we all only get one chance to make our vote count this election.
I would also ask all of you that live in Burlington County to support my good friends Shelley Adler for Congress and Aimee Belgard and Joanne for Freeholders. This District needs a change and accountability. They will give that to this County and its residents.
Lastly I would ask every one here in Edgewater Park to support Mike Trainor and myself for Township Committee. This town is on the right track and we are building towards a stronger future for our children.
I would like to thank everyone for their support over the past three years. I hope to see everyone at the polls on Tuesday! Thank you all!

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.
