Today, members of our department proudly participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics.

The Torch Run is more than just a run—it is a symbol of inclusion, determination, and community. We were honored to carry the Flame of Hope alongside fellow law enforcement officers and supporters, helping raise awareness and support for the incredible athletes of Special Olympics.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and supported this important cause. Together, we continue to champion acceptance, respect, and opportunity for all.

🎓 Congratulations to the Graduates of the L.E.A.D. Program! 🎓

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the students who successfully completed the L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence) program. Throughout the program, these students demonstrated dedication, respect, and a commitment to making positive choices both in and out of the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of each graduate and the lessons they have learned about leadership, decision-making, and building strong, healthy communities. We hope the knowledge and skills gained through LEAD will continue to guide them for years to come.

A special thank you to our officers, teachers, school staff, and families who helped make this program a success. Together, we are investing in the future of our community.

Please join us in congratulating our L.E.A.D. graduates on this outstanding achievement!

Due to the forecasted weather conditions, the Memorial Day parade has been canceled.

While we are disappointed we cannot gather together as planned with our residents, our number one priority is keeping everyone safe.

There will be no rain date for this event.

Thank you for understanding, and we hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day 🇺🇸.

🚨Attention Residents/ Seniors 🚨

We know Senior Assassin season is underway, and while we love seeing students have fun and make memories during their final year, we ask everyone participating to do so safely and responsibly.

🔹 Do not trespass onto private property
🔹 Do not run into roadways or approach moving vehicles
🔹 Do not carry anything that could be mistaken for a real weapon
🔹 Be mindful of neighbors and businesses
🔹 If stopped by law enforcement, cooperate and explain the situation immediately

Let’s keep the game fun, safe, and free from unnecessary emergencies. Good luck to all participants, and remember… someone is always watching!

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the Edgewater Park Township Police Department! 💐

Today we celebrate the moms who do it all — the ones who somehow find missing shoes, settle arguments faster than any police officer ever could, know when something is wrong before anyone says a word, and still manage to keep everyone moving in the right direction.

To the moms raising families, supporting loved ones, balancing careers, volunteering in the community, cheering from the sidelines and keeping households running day after day. Thank you for everything you do.

And let’s be honest… moms deserve a badge of their own for patience, detective work, negotiation skills and the ability to hear trouble starting from three rooms away.

From our police family to yours, we wish all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers and mother figures a safe, relaxing and love-filled Mother’s Day. You are truly appreciated today and every day.
