We were honored to receive this Certificate of Appreciation for assistance EPD provided in response to the shooting at Evergreen HS. The partnerships that the law enforcement agencies in Jefferson County have with each other are truly amazing. Together, we work to provide public safety to all. We know that our neighboring agencies will be there for us and we will be there for them!

It was great to visit with members of Chatfield Senior High School's Outreach Program (CHOP) who served as big buddies to students at Lumberg Elementary School during field day. The mission of CHOP is to create an understanding and appreciation for diversity in our community by partnering with diverse Jeffco elementary schools and serving as big buddies. Thanks for being in Edgewater!

This is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and it is a great opportunity to thank our partners at Jeffcom 911. These are the men and women who answer your 911 calls when you need help from police, fire, and medical professionals. They keep track of us during calls and provide us vital information throughout. They may be removed from the scene but they are right in the middle of the action and we could not do our job without them!

This week is Property and Evidence Technicians Week and Edgewater PD is lucky to have one of the best! Ana Delgado maintains our evidence room, releases property to individuals, and does all of the detail work needed to make sure that EPD is using best practices in this important area. She assists our team in many other ways and we are lucky to have her as part of EPD!

At times policing can seem like a thankless job. When members of our community say "thank you for what you do" it really matters. When they make a painting to say "thank you" it is truly special! Haley and Lisa, your support means the world to us!
