Join Heather Bendl live for Justice for the Serlick Children Podcast — Season 2, Episode 9, recorded on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Tonight’s episode focuses on Heather’s continued efforts to seek accountability, protect her parental rights, and bring public attention to the legal and procedural issues she has raised throughout the Illinois and Florida family-court proceedings involving the Serlick children.
Heather will discuss her Petition for Leave to Appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court, commonly referred to as a PLA. The petition asks Illinois’ highest court to consider issues arising from the long-running Lake County proceedings, including Heather’s concerns regarding jurisdiction, due process, access to the courts, and the treatment of a self-represented parent attempting to preserve her constitutional rights.
Heather will also share several personal and advocacy updates:
• Why the podcast is using StreamYard for the first time after technical difficulties with previous live broadcasts using OBS
• An update on Heather’s candidacy for the Florida House of Representatives, District 30
• An update on Heather’s progress toward paralegal certification
• A discussion of the Illinois Supreme Court PLA and the broader appellate process
• A preview of the next episode, which will address Heather’s federal case filed on May 31, 2026
This podcast documents Heather’s perspective, court filings, advocacy efforts, and ongoing pursuit of lawful review. Allegations discussed during the broadcast remain allegations unless established through court findings or verified public records. The program is intended for public education, advocacy, and transparency and is not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed attorney.
