Edgewood ISD continues to market, recruit, and SIGN the very best, and sometimes the best have been Bulldogs all along.

Ms. Sierra Govan has been part of the purple and gold family her entire life. From Pre-Kindergarten through graduation, Edgewood ISD helped shape her journey. Now, after earning her degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and gaining classroom experience, she is returning home as a 2nd Grade Math and Science teacher at Edgewood Elementary.

There is something powerful about seeing a former student choose to come back and invest in the same community that invested in them.

Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. 🐾💜💛

Coach Andrew Tyner is officially stepping into a new role as a High School Math Teacher and Coach, and this one is exciting for a lot of reasons.

This is exactly the kind of story Edgewood ISD loves… finding passionate educators already investing in students and giving them the opportunity to grow into even bigger roles.

Coach Maci Bult is officially joining Edgewood ISD as a Middle School Science Teacher and Coach, and this hire brings exactly the kind of energy and passion the district is looking for.

Coach Bult comes to Edgewood ISD with experience teaching Middle School science while coaching cross country, basketball, and track. She also has a passion for STEM activities and hands on learning, making her a natural fit for the classroom and beyond.

Mrs. Christina Carias is joining the Bulldog family as the new Gifted & Talented/STEM teacher for Kindergarten through 6th grade, and this hire brings exactly what Edgewood ISD was looking for.

With 11 years in education and experience across multiple grade levels and subject areas, Mrs. Carias brings the kind of energy and innovation that will help challenge and inspire our youngest Bulldogs.

And honestly… anyone who worked on military aircraft projects before becoming a teacher was probably built for problem solving and STEM all along. ✈️💡
