It's Throwback Thursday! On this date in 1954, Roger Bannister became the first person ever to record a sub- 4 minute mile whilst participating in a meet between British AAA and Oxford. An amazing feat, his record went on to be broken just 46 days later. Eventually, he became a doctor and published over 80 papers related to academic medicine.
