Growing Stronger.

This week, several firefighters from both Edina and Hopkins were officially sworn into Edina Firefighters IAFF Local 1275 by Local President Luke Beaudry.

Every new member makes our Local stronger. More voices, more involvement, and a stronger union standing together for firefighters, paramedics, and our families.

Our strength has always come from our membership, and it's great to see Local 1275 continue to grow with firefighters who are committed to supporting one another, our profession, and the communities we serve.

🍩 National Donut Day

National Donut Day began in honor of the Salvation Army “Donut Lassies,” who served donuts and provided comfort to American soldiers during World War I.

Today, we remember their service—and maybe enjoy a donut or two ourselves.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Lt. Tyler Uthe, a respected leader, a dedicated servant and friend. His loss is being felt deeply across our agency and by all who had the privilege to serve alongside him.

Our thoughts are with Tyler’s family, friends, loved ones and fellow troopers during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and respect their privacy as they grieve.

🥊 Proud Local

This past Saturday, members of Edina Firefighters IAFF Local 1275 packed Myth Live to support two of our own as they stepped into the ring for the Twin Cities Battle of the Badges.

A special congratulations to Tom and Clayton for having the courage to lace up the gloves and represent our local in front of a packed crowd. It takes a different kind of commitment to put yourself out there, train for months, and step into the ring knowing there are no guarantees.

While the fights may only last a few rounds, the impact goes much further. Battle of the Badges brings together firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and corrections professionals to raise money and awareness for causes that support first responders and our communities.

Tom and Clayton represented Edina with class, determination, and heart. We couldn’t be more proud of both of them for stepping up for a great cause and showing what our profession is all about.

Well done, gentlemen. Local 1275 is proud of you.
