🚑 A New Ambulance for Our Community

The department is excited to welcome a new ambulance to our fleet!

This isn't just a new vehicle—it's an investment in the health and safety of our neighbors, friends, families, and visitors. Every call we answer is someone's emergency, and this new ambulance will help our department to continue providing dependable, high-quality care when our community needs us most.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our residents and everyone who believes in the mission of this department. Your support makes it possible for us to continue improving the services we provide to our community and surrounding communities.

Multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today. The first round will be this morning into this afternoon with a second round in the eastern half of the area possible this evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the main hazard, but tornadoes and large hail remain possible.

Some severe weather preparedness information:

NWS has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m. Please take time to refresh on the difference between a watch and warning. Also, please take time to discuss your severe weather procedures with your family.

The Borough of Edinboro, Washington Township, and the University only utilize the storm siren for tornado 🌪 warnings impacting the area. The siren is not utilized for fire/EMS emergencies.

If you hear👂 a storm siren (regardless of the duration), take shelter, tune into the news or weather radio, and monitor until the warning has expired.

Some members of CEC, including one of our staff members, will be part of this out of state deployment to Minnesota. We wish them a safe deployment and God's protection. Give it hell and represent us well!

The firefighters will gather in Cumberland County before leaving to assist with the wildfires, which have led to widespread smoke and air quality alerts.
