Even though everyone knows firetrucks are cooler, here is a chance to help out a great guy and ride in the parade along with seeing the demos.

Along with Ayerco, we will be doing a raffle for Matthew Behl

All proceeds will go directly to him for medical costs and anything else he may need. They are $3/ticket. If you are drawn, you will receive up to 4 pit passes for the Edinburg Labor Day Derby and be invited to ride in a police car for the parade.. of course you'll get to play siren DJ and throw candy.

Get tickets at the PD or village office. Drawing day is Saturday August 22nd.

Be sure to stop in Ayerco and see their raffles as well. I know I saw a fishing cooler basket, and a Pepsi themed one.

[Late Afternoon Wednesday Update (6/17)] - An Enhanced (level 3 of 5) to Moderate (level 4 of 5) risk for severe storms remains in place across the region for this evening. We continue to see signs of additional storm development across west-central IL as of 4pm Wednesday. Continue to stay weather aware!

[2:30p.m. Update] - The tornado threat will increase across central Illinois between 3-5 p.m. Have multiple ways to receive warnings, and be ready to activate your severe weather safety plan.

[Midday Wednesday Update (6/17)] - An Enhanced (level 3 of 5) to Moderate (level 4 of 5) risk for severe storms remains in place across the region for this afternoon and evening. Despite morning storms, the environment remains supportive of severe storms, and we're already seeing signs of additional storm development across Missouri as of 1230pm Wednesday. Continue to stay weather aware today!

A bowing line segment tracking southeast out of Iowa this morning will bring a high risk for destructive straight line winds - 80-100 mph. The complex will track southeast around 60 mph. Besides widespread destructive winds, a few tornadoes will be possible as well. Central IL will be impacted between 8 am and noon.
