The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource room set up in a store-like setting where CPS caseworkers can obtain needed items for clients of CPS. The Rainbow Room distributes new items such as shoes, clothing, formula, hygiene products and school supplies to children who have been rescued or removed from their homes due to neglect or abuse. The Rainbow Room was designed to provide these necessities
to those children in need. Donations from the community keep the room stocked with needed items for the children. 100% of all donations go directly to the needs of the children and families served. The donations received from the community help replenish the room with needed items. In Region 11, 19 counties making up South Texas, the Rainbow Rooms serve an average of 100 children per month.
