We are pleased to announce the promotion of Emily Campbell to Casework Manager at JCU effective 2/2/26! Emily began her career with the Indiana Department of Correction at Madison Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer. She later continued her professional growth at Plainfield Correctional Facility, where she served as a Caseworker and then worked in Transitional Healthcare. Emily then joined Edinburgh Correctional Facility as the Release Coordinator, where she has demonstrated strong leadership, dedication, and expertise in reentry and case management.

In addition to her IDOC experience, Emily brings valuable prior experience from her work with Vigo County Juvenile Detention and Scott County Jail. We are excited to see Emily continue advancing her career with IDOC and are confident she will be an asset to JCU in her new role. 🌱✨ Our garden is having a fantastic summer! Today we were able to donate another 422 pounds of fresh produce to The Love Chapel, bringing our season total to an incredible 1,572 pounds donated so far!

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share the harvest with our community and help support local families in need. 💚 Thank you to everyone who helps make this possible!

We are proud to announce 16 Individuals at Edinburgh have completed 40 hours of training to become peer health educators! These individuals are now certified to provide educational workshops to other members of the population about health education and disease prevention.

Please congratulate Officer Elifritz as he was named the JCU FTO (field training officer) of the first quarter for 2025! Officer Elifritz shares his years of experience and expertise with new hires preparing them to be officers.

Officer Elifritz is also a Veteran and American Legion coordinator for the facility. When he is not helping train new staff he helps coordinate veteran services, American Legion meetings, and activities. We are so grateful for all he does!

2️⃣ New platform for messaging: Starting TOMORROW, use GettingOut.com to send messages and photos to your loved one. 📸💬 Don't Forget to sign up!:https://www.gettingout.com Search for your loved one at their current facility starting with the INDOC prefix.

📍 What this means for friends and family:
• There will be no changes to phone calls or video visitation through VisManager.

• No changes to funding your loved one's PIN Debit account for phone calls, the trust fund, messages, and tablet usage use through ConnectNetwork. 💰 You can continue adding money for these services as you have been.

• Starting 3/18, you'll need to use GettingOut.com to send messages and photos to your loved one. 📸💬 Add them as a contact at their current facility using the pre-fix INDOC then the facility name.

• Important! You’ll no longer be able to send new messages or buy messaging credits on ConnectNetwork after the update. ⏳ Be sure to use any remaining credits before the transition!
