We are proud to announce the promotion of Mr. Johnson to Correctional Sergeant at JCU! Sgt. Johnson began career with the Indiana Department of Correction began at the Correctional Industrial Facility, and since then he has brought his dedication and expertise to Pendleton Correctional Facility, Chain O’Lakes Work Release, and most recently Edinburgh Correctional in 2024.

His commitment to service doesn’t stop there, he also served as a United States Coast Guard rescue swimmer and later in the United States Marine Corps infantry, demonstrating the same drive and leadership we see in him today.

When he’s not on duty, Mr. Johnson enjoys fishing, kayaking, bow hunting, and staying active as an adaptive coach powerlifter. We’re excited to celebrate his achievements and look forward to all he’ll bring to his new role!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Emily Campbell to Casework Manager at JCU effective 2/2/26! Emily began her career with the Indiana Department of Correction at Madison Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer. She later continued her professional growth at Plainfield Correctional Facility, where she served as a Caseworker and then worked in Transitional Healthcare. Emily then joined Edinburgh Correctional Facility as the Release Coordinator, where she has demonstrated strong leadership, dedication, and expertise in reentry and case management.

In addition to her IDOC experience, Emily brings valuable prior experience from her work with Vigo County Juvenile Detention and Scott County Jail. We are excited to see Emily continue advancing her career with IDOC and are confident she will be an asset to JCU in her new role. Please join us in congratulating Emily on this well-earned promotion.
