🎉 Congratulations, Suzie Wyckoff, on 15 years of service! 🎉

In her 15 years with Edmond, and 24 years in public safety, Suzie has made many incredible contributions. Most recently, due to her passion for mental health and employee wellness, she has taken the lead of our MOD Squad (motivation, optimism, and delight). She dedicates her time to recognizing and celebrating staff, and making sure everyone feels welcome and supported! She has been a tremendous help in reminding all of us that taking care of each other is just as important as taking care of our community.

🎉 Congratulations, Dawn Harris, on 15 years of service! 🎉

Dawn has truly made a lasting impact on our center over the years and continues to be an exceptional mentor whose knowledge of public safety, policies, and procedures helps prepare the next generation of dispatchers for success.

Her commitment also extends far beyond our walls. She actively serves on committees, collaborates with organizations across the public safety community, promotes the 911 profession, and is passionate about supporting the mental well-being of her teammates. She values the history of emergency communications while always looking ahead to make the profession stronger. This year, she’ll even be sharing her expertise at the national APCO Conference as part of a think tank focused on mentorship programs in 911 centers. So, if you are attending, make sure you stop by to say hello!

Her professionalism, positivity, and genuine passion for helping others make her an invaluable member of our team and a joy to work alongside.

It takes a team to help make the LibertyFest Parade 2026 a success! 🦅

Today, our Edmond 911 and Emergency Management teams were proud to support the parade in several ways. We had staff participating in the parade, dedicated dispatchers coordinating communications throughout the event, and our Emergency Management team working alongside Edmond Police, Fire, and the many partners and volunteers who helped keep everything running safely.

We’re grateful to everyone who played a part in making this year’s celebration a safe and successful one. 🇺🇸

HEAT SAFETY NOTICE: For those attending or participating in the LibertyFest Parade tomorrow, start hydrating now!

While the event is scheduled for the morning, temperatures are expected to be high. Please prioritize safety in the heat by drinking plenty of water, applying sunscreen, wearing lightweight and light-colored clothing, and seeking shade when possible.
