We are thrilled to recognize our VERY FIRST Core Value Award Winners of the 2026-27 school year! Please give it up for:

✴️ Esther Del Rio, Facilities Manager, Cimarron Middle School, who was nominated for HOPE. Mrs. Del Rio is always positive and has a smile on her face, no matter the circumstance. She takes her job very seriously and is diligent in helping anyone who needs it, including serving as a translator often for families in the office. She is the heart of Panther Nation!

🟣 Erin Kingrey, School Secretary, Russell Dougherty Elementary, was nominated for COLLABORATION. Mrs. Kingrey's ability to collaborate with secretaries throughout the district to make sure the job is done correctly and her commitment to collaborate with all staff members at RD to assure them they will have everything they need to complete their job is consistent. All while maintaining a positive attitude and setting the example of what collaboration looks like at RD.

✴️ Anthony Risi, Technical Director, Memorial High School, was nominated for COLLABORATION. Mr. Risi has helped bring several district events to life with his talents. Most recently, he played an integral role during Convocation setting up and running our audio during the program. His can do attitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve has ensured Convocation went off without a hitch the past couple years!

🟣 Deborah Fish, Transportation Dispatch, was nominated for BELONGING. Ms. Fish is constantly thinking of others and finding ways to make those around her feel appreciated and valued. From buying pizza for the custodial staff to giving heartfelt cards of appreciation to staff members and administrators alike, she continually goes above and beyond to recognize others.

It is our joy to honor these EPS standouts! We are grateful for all they do!

❤️ Thank you to Bank of Oklahoma for being our Core Value Award Sponsor!

Frontier’s Lending Library is open for business! 📚 Over the summer, Frontier teachers came together to create a little library where students, staff and families can take a book or leave a book. It’s a simple way to share great stories and inspire a love of reading throughout the Falcon community! 👏🩵

Sergeant Payne of the Edmond Police Department visited our Post Oak 1st Grade Otters to talk about following the rules and being a safe citizen! 👮‍♂️

We’re thankful for our partnership with Edmond PD and the opportunities our students have to see, interact with and learn from police officers throughout the school year. These connections help build trust and strengthen our community. ✴️

Kindergartners are officially in their classes this week! 👏

Across the district, kindergarteners get to spend the first week of school trying out different kindergarten classes so we can find the best fit for each student and set them up for a successful year.

Classes are color coded during the process, and once students are sorted, they get to take pride in their class color! ✨

Our newest Edmond Transition Academy building is already serving our students and staff well! ✨

Thanks to the support of our 2024 Bond, we were able to open a brand new building for some of our ETA interns.

ETA's mission is to nurture the unique potential of each student by providing structured transition planning, hands on vocational experiences and life skills training in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Today was a perfect representation of the mission of life skills training, as interns practiced folding laundry in their shiny new laundry room. 👕🧺
