Edmond Animal Services, Government Edmond Animal Services is a unit of the Edmond Police Department. We provide animal control and animal sheltering services for the City of Edmond.

The Edmond Animal Shelter considers itself a low-kill facility. As a municipal shelter, we do not have the luxury of choosing what animals to take in, therefore the euthanasia of unadoptable animals is possible. Animals that are determined to be "adoptable" are held indefinitely until they find a forever home.

This cutie boy was found this morning near Main & Story in Edmond wearing a collar, but unfortunately had no microchip or ID.

He’s happy, healthy, and knows his basic commands, so we KNOW he has people out there!

Gino’s a made man looking for his old lady and a fat stack of Milkbones. 🦴🇮🇹

At about 5 years old, Gino is handsome, hilarious, and a certified ladies’ man. He LOVES attention, gets along great with other dogs, and has enough personality to make himself the head of just about any household.

His demands are simple:

🇮🇹 A nice, comfy couch
🤌 A good family to call his own
🦴 Milkbones coming in regular
🐕 Maybe a couple associates to run around with
🍝 And add a little gabagool now and then

Gino is neutered, microchipped, dog friendly, and ready for adoption.

He’s done his time at the shelter and he’s ready for the good life. So come meet Gino and make him an offer he can’t refuse: a forever home. 🤌🐾🇮🇹

☀️ Gup is in his R&R era. 🛋️

This golden oldie has his priorities straight: roll around in the grass, soak up a little sunshine, and then retire to the biggest, coziest couch available.

In fact, Gup is one of the very few shelter residents trusted with a big plush bed in his kennel because he loves it far too much to even consider destroying it. A gentleman respects his furniture. 💅

Don’t let the senior status fool you, though—Gup still has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys some soft, easygoing playtime with other dogs… especially the ladies. 😉 What can we say? The old man’s still got it.

Gup is a good man looking for the good life: sunshine, soft beds, leisurely afternoons, and a couch he can finally call his own. 💛

Two fresh faces are officially hitting the adoption floor tomorrow! 🐾

🩵 Zero — striking eyes, big smile, and absolutely ready to charm his way into somebody’s house.

🖤 Bri — certified happy girl with a face that says “yes, I would like to be included in everything you’re doing forever.”

Both are dog friendly, people oriented, and ready to find their forever homes. Their only humble request? Perhaps a home with secure confinement because we’d really prefer their next adventure to be inside the boundaries of their own property. 😂

Because ma’am… that face says “I absolutely have a home and I cannot believe you people haven’t called my mother yet.” 😭😂

This adorable little beagle girl was found yesterday afternoon near 33rd & Jim Robison Ave. She’s clearly been somebody’s baby, but unfortunately she arrived with no microchip and no ID, so we need the internet to do its thing. 🕵️‍♀️🐾

We KNOW somebody is missing this sweet face — please share, share, share so we can get her back where she belongs! 🏡❤️

🚨 ISO: Someone to Match Tanx’s Freak 🚨

Tanx is a big ol’ teddy bear with one tiny stipulation: he would like to be your one and only. 😂

Other dogs? ❌
His people? Obsessed.
Bouncing around the yard with his toys like a giant toddler? Absolutely.
Personal security detail/best friend/oversized lap dog? Also yes.

Tanx needs a single-dog home with secure fencing and someone who understands that sharing is simply not one of his core values. He has plenty of love to give—he just wants the entire household allocation for himself. 🤷‍♀️

We know homes looking for an only dog are harder to find, but we also know there’s someone out there who doesn’t want a pack. Maybe you just want one really good dog. A bestie. A companion. A guardian. A big goofy dude who thinks you hung the moon and is perfectly content making his whole world revolve around you. ❤️

And that’s who we’re trying to find for Tanx.

He could really use that person sooner rather than later. Shelter life isn’t getting any easier for this handsome meatball, and we’d really, really like his next stop to be home.

Because somehow Pony Boy Curtis is STILL HERE. 😭

He’s big. He’s rowdy. He’s ridiculously handsome. Basically everything a certified Big Dog Person could ask for.

Pony Boy is a tall, dark & handsome head-turner who loves his people, enjoys other dogs, and brings approximately zero daintiness to the relationship. 😂 He’s a whole lotta dog with a whole lotta personality — and he’s ready for someone who likes ’em BIG.
