Edmonds Lions Club Lions members work diligently to provide service outreach around the world especially in the areas of sight and hearing preservation. We want your help!

The Edmonds Lions Club is a group of service-minded men and women volunteering for the betterment of our community and we exist in partnership with Lions Clubs International. Local and international clubs conduct vision, hearing and diabetic screenings, establish and support eye hospitals, award scholarships, build and maintain parks, help youth and provide community assistance in times of disaste

Our Edmonds Club commits to annual Food Bank fundraising, Flower Deliveries to the ailing and infirm, the placement of hundreds of American flags around Edmonds on nearly two dozen holidays throughout the year and much, much more. Please join us for a meeting and see where you fit in as we give back to this community that means so much! Meetings: September-June: the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30PM at the Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 84th W. All year: the 4th Tuesday of the month at 12PM at the Pancake Haus, 530 5th Ave S, Edmonds, WA.

One of the many projects the Edmonds Lions Club members enjoy is the Back-to-School Fair at Meadowdale High School. Jim Forgey, Membership Chair, reported we gave away 1,150 books. This is our way of getting children to read. We get books that are donated to us from individuals, Senior Thrift Store, Edmonds BookStore and the Lions Club Giving Library of the Pacific NW. We were honored today to welcome Rebecca Minelga of Guide Dogs for the Blind - Lynnwood Puppy Raisers as our guest speaker, accompanied by her latest puppy in training. Lion Laura Caparroso brought her own guide dog and introduced Rebecca.

Pancakes and puppies!
The Edmonds Lions Club invites the community to its next regular meeting at noon on Tuesday, July 28, at the Pancake Haus in downtown Edmonds. The club will welcome guest speaker Rebecca Minelga, the co-leader of the local chapter of Guide Dogs for the Blind - Lynnwood Puppy Raisers.

Minelga is an author and speaker who raises guide dog puppies and two sons - in that order - and has raised 17 puppies over the last 20 years. She was also featured in the 2018 KTF Films "dog"umentary Pick of the Litter in partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind."

When you watch the Edmonds 4th of July Parade on Saturday and notice the flags lining the parade route, they are a community service provided by the Edmonds Lions Club.

The Lions Club will be posting more than 250 American flags around Edmonds on July 4. This is a club tradition and fundraiser dating back more than 35 years.

If you would like a flag posted in front of your business on most major holidays, please contact Tom Snyder, [email protected]. The fee is $40 per flag, with a discount for multiple flags. All of the proceeds support community programs throughout the Edmonds area.
