The City of Edmonds Arts Commission The Edmonds Arts Commission exists to ensure the arts are integral to the City of Edmonds WA

Established in 1975, the Commission is charged by City Ordinance with “promoting the arts as an integral part of the community.” Arts Commission core programs include:
• Public Art and Rotating Visual Art Exhibits
• Community Concerts
• Write on the Sound Writers’ Conference
• Community Cultural Planning
• Cultural Tourism promotion

Building for the Arts is a capital projects program funded by Washington State Department of Commerce that awards grants to performing arts, art museum, and cultural organizations for as much as 33% state match of eligible project costs for acquisition, construction, and/or major renovation of capital facilities.

Mark your calendar - Community Art Day is Sunday, May 3rd! 🎨

Drop in throughout the day to explore the galleries and enjoy a rotating schedule of creative activities and fun for all ages. Admission is free for all.

Event Highlights:
• Free museum admission all day (11 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
• Drop-in, hands-on art-making activities for all ages, including a community mural project with teaching artist Sarah Norsworthy
• Storytime with Sno-Isle Library, 12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
• Sketching in the Galleries with Teaching Artist Kathleen Moore, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Ambassador-led museum tour offering insights into the museum’s current exhibitions, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Live Performance by Carroll-Henderson School of Irish Dance, 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
