🚨EMERGENCY🚨HOSPITAL BOUND🚨
This isn’t how we wanted you all to meet JJ, but here we are and we need your help please. JJ is the newest babe to join NSLB. This morning JJ was a little “off”, no enthusiastic greeting or running the fence for breakfast. 🚩Once I was in his pen with the food bucket he became a bit more enthusiastic and ran along with me to his dish. He ate all of his breakfast & got some drinks which was great, but not enough to lower suspicions. So frequent checks were being done for more clues as to why he just didn’t seem himself, on one of those checks I noticed JJ was dribbling urine instead a nice healthy flow. Dribbling likely means something along the lines of a UTI or crystals. Our vet got him started on meds and constant monitoring continued. While meds take time to start working, JJ was clearly feeling much much worse. The vet came out and agreed. While we don’t believe we’re dealing with a blockage, JJ is in pain. He needs more supportive care than what we can offer on site. He needs to be made comfortable and we need to ensure the bladder is draining enough to prevent it from bursting, which is deadly.
Supportive care is estimated at $1,000-$2,000, if surgery is required they estimate $4,000-$6,000. Please help us save this sweet boy. He’s not even had 2 months of knowing love and proper & consistent care. He has a whole beautiful life ahead of him.
