The Mayor, board members, and other city officials are saddened to learn of the passing of Board Member Paul Zerbe. We do not have any information regarding his death at this time.

Paul was a dedicated public servant. He was recently re-elected to serve on the Board of Aldermen, routinely volunteered for city functions and events, and participated in other groups, such as the Municipal League, whose goals include training and assistance to ensure the highest standards of good governance.

Our thoughts are with Paul's wife and four children. The City of Edmundson is a small, close-knit community and we will do what we can to provide comfort and support to Paul's family during this extremely difficult time.

At a later date, city officials will take appropriate action to fill Paul's seat on the Board of Aldermen. This will be done by appointment by the Mayor and approval of the remaining members of the Board of Aldermen. The Board's next regular meeting is Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. We are sure that there will be many acknowledgements of Paul's service and memories of Paul shared.

Yesterday, City of Edmundson board members and Officer Vence joined City of Woodson Terrace officials, police and residents at John L. Brown Park for a moving Memorial Day ceremony.
It was a profound honor to stand with the community to pause, reflect, and remember.
As the holiday weekend comes to a close, let us keep the true meaning of this day close to our hearts. We deeply honor the brave men and women of our military who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Thank you to everyone who stood with us to pay tribute to our fallen heroes.

This afternoon, the Edmundson Police Department joined forces with our partners at the Woodson Terrace Police Department, St. John Police Department, St. Ann Police Department and Breckenridge Hills Police Department to carry the torch for the final leg of the North St. Louis County Law Enforcement Torch Run.

It was an absolute honor to stand side-by-side with our neighboring agencies to support the phenomenal athletes of Special Olympics Missouri. This nationwide tradition raises vital funds and awareness to promote joy through sports.

We would like to thank Officer Swope with the Bridgeton Police Department for organizing the run and to everyone who stepped outside, waved, and cheered our runners along the route!

Finally, a big shout out to Edmundson’s own Officer Jordan Vence for a great run today!

Let’s wish all of the athletes the absolute best of luck as the torch makes its way to the State Summer Games!

Over the weekend, the City of Edmundson participated in the Trash Bash through Open Space, helping clean up along Natural Bridge Road. City employees, board members, and their families and friends came together to collect over 60 bags of trash—filling two truckloads!

Afterward, the city hosted a great BBQ picnic for everyone involved. Thank you to all who came out and participated. Your dedication and contributions made a meaningful difference in helping keep our city clean.

And a special thank you to Lombardo's for letting us use their space to meet and to Officer Tabarly for watching out for the volunteers to make sure everyone was safe.
