2/11/26 Van Zandt County under BURN BAN

Van Zandt County is now under a burn ban. Violation of a burn ban is at least a Class C Misdemeanor with a fine of up to $500. The penalty can go up if it threatens another's property, places another in imminent danger, etc... Please share with everyone as there are very dangerous fire conditions right now.

Per the VZ CO Commissioner’s Court, Van Zandt County is under a Burn Ban, and the City of Van follows this rule. No outdoor burning is allowed at any time.

Outdoor Grills and Smokers are exempt from this rule.
