The Village of Edwardsburg is looking to elect a Charter Commission which will consist of 5 electors (who are registered voters who own village property and have residence of at least 2 years in the village). The election for members of the Charter Commission will take place in November. Those who are elected will be sworn in within 10 days after the election, at which time they will choose their Clerk and Chairman, and will work to frame a charter within 60 days.

If you are interested in running for the Charter Commission, please stop by the Village office to pick up a nominating petition in order to get your name on the ballot. The petitions must be filed with the Ontwa Township Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on July 21.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! As a reminder, the Village Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25. We are open today until 4:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

If you are in town on Memorial Day, stop by the Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church for their Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. They are also holding their Hero Haul program, collecting supplies for Veterans.

Be sure to check out the Annual Memorial Day Parade. It kicks off at Edwardsburg Middle School at 11:00 a.m. and will end at the Edwardsburg Cemetery.

Following the parade, the Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum will be open and offering a Kiddies Carnival on the museum grounds as well as their annual plant sale. This will complement the annual festival held by the Edwardsburg Community Organization at Gunn Park. There will be food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, local businesses and community organizations, along with games, a bounce house, and a tractor/car show. Both events run from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Upcoming Holiday Delay – Memorial Day

This upcoming Monday, May 25th, we will be unavailable due to the Memorial Day Holiday. Our routes will not be running, and our offices will be closed. ALL weekly services following the holiday will run on a one-day delay, with Friday services occurring on Saturday.

Regarding the MSHDA CDBG Grant: Please note that this grant is only available for residents who reside within the Village limits. Edwardsburg residents outside the Village limits do not qualify. The map below outlines the Village limits.
