Weekend Reading Recommendation:

The Last Debutante by Adriane Leigh Book 1 of the Black Widow Series.

From the USA Today bestselling author of The Influencer series, comes a psychological thriller rich with dark glamour, wicked twists, and a chilling question at its core—how far would you go for the person who once saved your life?

Welcome to Tigertail Beach where the cocktails are cold, the secrets are hot, and the bodies are piling up.

Fifteen years ago, a life was taken in secret.

Now, someone wants revenge.

McCullough McMaster lives a charmed life behind the gates of Tigertail Beach Estates—designer clothes, a picture-perfect marriage, and martinis with the other elite wives. But behind every perfect view is a secret worth killing for. When her best friend Whitney is presumed dead after a yacht explosion, McCullough becomes convinced it wasn’t an accident… and that Whitney’s husband, the charming Phillip Ramsey-Winthrop, is hiding the truth.

But nothing in Tigertail is what it seems.

When McCullough finds herself being stalked, blackmailed, and haunted by mementos from the night of the debutante ball—the night when everything changed—she must unravel the tangled web of secrets that bind her to Whitney, to Phillip, and to a deadly mistake buried for over a decade. As forgotten truths resurface and alliances shift, McCullough realizes that no one is innocent. Not even her. And that the price of paradise is paid in blood.

She’s the last one left that remembers that night. Now someone wants to finish it.

The Last Debutante is a seductive tale of luxury, loyalty, lies, and the price of buried secrets.

A new Amish Bonnet Sisters Spin-Off from Samantha Price. Avaiable now!

Mercy: The Amish Bonnet Sisters: Wilma's Daughters book 1

Every woman in the family has a secret. Tabitha is about to discover them all.
As a teenager, Tabitha is unsure of many things, but she’s very clear on this: milking cows for the rest of her life is not the dream. Marriage, however, looks like the fastest way off her family’s dairy farm.
Tabitha isn’t reckless enough to rush into courtship without a little research first. After all, one wrong decision could swap cows for a lifetime of different chores, and that’s not much of an upgrade.
So she comes up with a plan.
Before any serious interest begins, Tabitha sets out to visit her aunts—Wilma’s daughters—one by one.
She isn’t looking for encouragement or warnings delivered with a smile. She wants the unvarnished truth. The stories that never got told.
Her first stop is Aunt Mercy.
And what Tabitha learns there makes her rethink everything she knew about marriage, family, and choosing a future.

Weekend Reading Recommendation: When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O'Neil. 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic read.

From the author of The Art of Inheriting Secrets comes an emotional new tale of two sisters, an ocean of lies, and a search for the truth.

When We Believed in Mermaids (2019)

Her sister has been dead for fifteen years when she sees her on the TV news…

Josie Bianci was killed years ago on a train during a terrorist attack. Gone forever. It’s what her sister, Kit, an ER doctor in Santa Cruz, has always believed. Yet all it takes is a few heart-wrenching seconds to upend Kit’s world. Live coverage of a club fire in Auckland has captured the image of a woman stumbling through the smoke and debris. Her resemblance to Josie is unbelievable. And unmistakable. With it comes a flood of emotions―grief, loss, and anger―that Kit finally has a chance to put to rest: by finding the sister who’s been living a lie.

After arriving in New Zealand, Kit begins her journey with the memories of the past: of days spent on the beach with Josie. Of a lost teenage boy who’d become part of their family. And of a trauma that has haunted Kit and Josie their entire lives.

Now, if two sisters are to reunite, it can only be by unearthing long-buried secrets and facing a devastating truth that has kept them apart far too long. To regain their relationship, they may have to lose everything.

Mrs. Erickson was the librarian at Atchison County Community Schools middle school when I was in school. She was my teacher when I was the Library Aide during my 8th grade year. She expalined to me what a librarian is and the importance of libraries, especially in small communities like ours. She served on the Effingham Community Library Board of Trustees and she will be remembered. To all her family and friends, we are sorry for your loss. Mrs. Erickson desired memorial contributions be made to the Effingham Community Library. We are honored. Contributions may be sent to The Effingham Community Library, P.O. Box 189 or 414 Main Street, Effingham, Kansas 66023.
