💡 Introducing young people to career paths they may not have considered is an important part of preparing the next generation for future opportunities.

ACUA Water Pollution Control Operator Kashif recently stopped by the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City to talk with local youth about career opportunities, his experience working in the wastewater industry, and the importance of staying motivated as they work toward their future goals.

The visit continues ACUA's partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. which earlier this year included a nine-week Wastewater Workforce Cohort Program for local high school students. 💧

Thank you, Kashif, for taking the time to connect with and encourage our local youth! 👏

We’re proud to partner with PolyGone Systems to explore solutions for removing microplastics from wastewater. 💧

After a successful pilot project at ACUA’s Wastewater Treatment Facility in Atlantic City, we’re excited to continue this partnership with PolyGone on the permanent installation of their microplastic filtration system.

Thank you to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for highlighting this project and the work being done in Atlantic County to help protect our waterways.

ACUA is investing $2.4 million to upgrade nearly 10,000 feet of wastewater pipeline along the White Horse Pike in Galloway Township. The pipeline carries approximately 1.3 million gallons of wastewater each day from homes and businesses in Galloway Township and Egg Harbor City to ACUA’s Wastewater Treatment Facility in Atlantic City.

The project will line the existing pipeline with a new, long-lasting polymer material designed to extend its life for more than 50 years.

📸 Take a look inside the manhole! Before upgrades begin, a specialized camera with wheels travels through the pipeline to inspect its condition.

Projects like this help prevent future issues and ensure ACUA can continue safely and reliably transporting and treating our community’s wastewater for decades to come.

The work is part of more than $24 million in wastewater infrastructure upgrades ACUA is working to complete over the next several years.
