☀️🌴🌺🌊📖 I am so excited to announce that Inland FSC's book club will be returning this summer on July 1, 2026! ☀️🌴🌺🌊📖
With this newest iteration of book club, we will be seeing a change in format. We ask that community members have the book prior to the first meeting, and also to have read through chapter 5. We will have a couple copies available to borrow the last week of June, although we do encourage you to try to get ahold of a copy through the Atlantic County Library System. Please let us know if you have any issues obtaining a copy.
We are going to read Remarkably Bright Creatures 🐙🌊🪸 by Shelby Van Pelt. This 2022 fiction debut tells the story of a connection between a widow and a giant Pacific octopus, using elements of magical realism and mystery to convey an exploration of friendship, reckoning, and hope.
Our first meeting will be Wednesday July 1st from 3:30-5:00 PM. We ask that community members read up to chapter 5 prior to the meeting. The Summertime Book Club will meet three times, two days for book discussion and one day to screen the 2026 Netflix film adaptation of Remarkably Bright Creatures.
