🚧 MUNICIPAL BUILDING PARKING NOTICE 🚧

Work on the municipal complex parking lot will continue according to the following schedule:

• Milling: Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20, if needed
• Paving: Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25
• Striping: Wednesday, August 26

Public parking will be very limited during this work. Visitors may park in the designated spaces within the horseshoe driveway directly in front of the Municipal Building. Limited parking may also be available on the Police Department side of the complex.

Please follow posted signs, use caution and allow additional time when visiting. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

NJ American Water Flushing Program – Egg Harbor Township

New Jersey American Water will begin its annual water main flushing in Egg Harbor Township during the week of August 31, continuing through October 11, 2026.

During flushing, residents may temporarily notice lower water pressure or discolored water. This is normal and is not harmful. If your water becomes discolored, simply run the cold water until it is clear.

A few tips:
• Keep some drinking and cooking water on hand.
• Check your water before running the washing machine or dishwasher.
• NJ American Water will notify customers before flushing begins in their neighborhood, but customers must opt in to receive non-emergency phone, text or email alerts.

NJ American Water customers can update their notification preferences through MyWater.

Not an account holder? You can still receive water-related alerts by texting WATER to 99411 or signing up through AWCodeRed.com.

The 2026 FINAL / 2027 PRELIMINARY TAX BILLS are scheduled to be mailed on July 24, 2026. The grace period for the August 1st (3rd qtr) tax has been extended until August 21st , 2026. Payment MUST be received in the Tax Collectors office by August 21st to avoid interest penalty.

TAX BILL UPDATE FOR EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

The Egg Harbor Township Tax Collector’s Office is currently awaiting receipt of the certified tax rate from Atlantic County. As a result, the mailing of the 2026 Final / 2027 Preliminary Tax Bills has been delayed.

📬 Tax bills are anticipated to be mailed on or about July 24, 2026.

✅ In accordance with New Jersey law, the grace period for the August 1, 2026 (3rd Quarter) tax payment will be extended to ensure residents receive the required interest-free payment period following the mailing of the bills.

📌 The extended grace period date will be clearly printed on your tax bill and payment stub.

📣 Please help spread the word by sharing this post with friends, family, neighbors, and seniors who may not regularly follow Township updates.

🚰 NOTICE FROM NEW JERSEY AMERICAN WATER 🚰

New Jersey American Water will be conducting its annual water distribution system flushing program in Egg Harbor Township beginning the week of June 1, 2026 through June 28, 2026.

This routine maintenance helps clean water mains, maintain water quality, and ensure fire hydrants remain operational.

During flushing operations, residents may temporarily experience:
• Lower water pressure
• Discolored water

If discoloration occurs, this is normal and not harmful. Simply run your cold water until it clears.

Residents are encouraged to:
✔️ Draw water for cooking ahead of time
✔️ Store drinking water in advance
✔️ Check water clarity before using washing machines or dishwashers

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If laundry becomes stained, do NOT use bleach or place items in the dryer. Rewash immediately using detergent and a rust remover product.

New Jersey American Water will issue customer notifications before flushing begins in specific neighborhoods. Customers may sign up for alerts through MyWater: https://login.amwater.com/

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY – EHT NATURE RESERVE

Please be advised that construction activity will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in the area adjacent to the parking lot at the Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve, specifically the northwest corner located behind the split rail fence.

The Township is coordinating the Carman Memorial Pavilion Project in honor of the Carman Family. Improvements will include a concrete walkway, pavilion, stone memorial, and landscaping enhancements.

This project is being fully funded through the generous donations of local contractors and friends of the community. In addition to serving as a meaningful memorial tribute, the project will further enhance and beautify the park for all visitors to enjoy.

For your safety, please use caution near the construction area and remain outside all designated work zones during the duration of the project.
